  • Where's my Refund??

I contacted Brakeplanet via chat many times on the status of my Rotors after waiting 7 weeks from date of order. Each time I was told they're at the Finishing vendor for zinc coating. A total of 12 weeks have gone by and the status has not changed. I asked them to have the Finishing house get my parts done. Brakeplanet tells me they can't pay expedite fees. Expedite fees after they've had them for over 5 weeks???? I asked what their turnaround time is. Customer support could not answer this. After another week I cancelled my order and was promised 100% refund in 3-4 days. A... More...

  • ANOTHER "tale of woe"

I recently(5-20-09) placed my order for a set of 4 rotors and brakes pads, after speaking with a customer service rep. ( I will ALWAYS check reviews BEFORE I place Internet orders in the future.)My credit card was billed in full on 5-21-09. 1 week later, I called to find out where the delivery was. The polite rep I spoke with said the parts had to be 'manufactured', but I would receive a 10% credit on my order, (never applied) and the parts would be shipped from their NJ warehouse the beginning of the next week. When I called again to followup, I was told they would send a... More...

  • Bad company

I ordered pads and rotors for my Titan and Altima. They said they would ship from the east coast (where I live) but after several e-mails and telephone calls they couldn't give me a ship date. I finally cancelled the order by phone and e-mail. Three and half weeks later the order shows up at my door, after I had re-purchased and installed my brakes on both vehicles. 3 1/2 weeks delivery would not have been a problem if they had only communicated with me. They agreed to take the product back but I've been waiting for prepaid shipping labels for almost 2 weeks, which a supervisor... More...

  • Use caution

I ordered discs and pads for my VW Cabrio online on a Saturday evening. I got an email response right away (the same evening) showing the order had been sent via UPS Ground. No tracking number listed when I checked the order status. Seemed a little fishy, but I remained hopeful. After 5 days with no delivery (their site shows 2-4 days for West Coast shipping) I sent an email asking for the tracking number - no response. The next day (Friday) I sent another email - no response. I tried calling their customer service number on Saturday - no answer, I left a message to contact me or cancel my... More...

  • The worst business

I ordered a rear pair for Avalon for $103. I received them after one week. After spending $150 to put them on, the car vibrated at above 40mph. The tech said one of the rotors was warped and I had to pay $100 to take them off. I called the customer support. According their policy, they said they have to inspect before refunding and I may not receive the refund because I already used them on the car even though less than 10 miles. Now I have to pay around $20 to return. I may lose all. My recommendation: Avoid this company or you will get hurt. Buy some brand name like Brembo or EBC...... More...

  • WARNING: Brake Planet is not a...

WARNING: Brake Planet is not a trusted vendor. I ordered brakes for my wifes 2001 Audi Allroad. They took the order and immediately charged my Visa debit for $197.18. When called to confirm availability. They were our of stock and brake rotors had to be manufactured. I canceled the order the next day when The Tire Rack had them in stock (a little more but delivered in 2 days, great service, great company that knows what they are doing). It has now been 8 weeks and have not received my refund. I call every 3 to 7 days and get the same run around. Refunds are mailed in 5 weeks or will mail... More...

  • Ordered brakepads and rotors...

Ordered brakepads and rotors from their website, Brakeplanet.com, they charged my credit card that very day. Shipping was supposed to occur within 2-3 business days. After 5 days they email me and say parts are backordered, will take 15 days or so to get them, they say. I wonder why they didn't know they weren't in stock when I placed the order? I check feedback on their Ebay site and find many people are going 45 days or more without getting backordered products, and they aren't getting refunds and the company does not return calls or emails. I find the same problem, I... More...
