WARNING: Brake Planet is not a...

WARNING: Brake Planet is not a trusted vendor. I ordered brakes for my wifes 2001 Audi Allroad. They took the order and immediately charged my Visa debit for $197.18. When called to confirm availability. They were our of stock and brake rotors had to be manufactured. I canceled the order the next day when The Tire Rack had them in stock (a little more but delivered in 2 days, great service, great company that knows what they are doing). It has now been 8 weeks and have not received my refund. I call every 3 to 7 days and get the same run around. Refunds are mailed in 5 weeks or will mail out this weeks. Only not to receive any payment in the mail during the following week. They should be a law against any vendor who mis represents a product capability or availability. If they can not supply the product they are simply stealing your money. Maybe a class action suite will shut them down. Would love to know if anyone on this blog has ever received a refund.

I purchased the rotors and pads package deal from BrakePlanet.com and recieve the rotors about one and a half month later. I faced the same problems. Manufacturing, blah, blah, blah. I am still missing my pads. Plus the rotors that I recieved are not BrakePlanet's name brand, which is UltimateBraking. They are Raybestos. Made in China.

Brakeplanet sucks. I had ordered two front brake pads and rotors on April 9th. the total charge was for $84.48. I received an email the next day from Brakeplanet saying that my parts were out of stock/back stock and it would be 2-3 weeks before I could get them. I called and cancelled my order.

On April 28th, Brakeplanet notified me by email saying that my parts were going to be delivered by UPS/FEDX. I called them that day and explained that I cancelled the order. The woman, who refused to identify herself, that they had no record of me cancelling the order and that there was nothing that they could about the order. After getting nowhere with Brakeplanet, I called my "former" bank WAMU/Chase and filed a claim against Brakeplanet. The parts came a week later, and my mother refused to sign for it. Brakeplanet got their parts back in May, it is now September and I have no refund. I have called on several different occasions from Aug 13th-28th, and Sept 1. Everytime, I get put on hold or disconneted; or some lame ass excuse like "our account department is very busy....i'm sure that they will call you back.". I have spoken to Jennifer and Anne (who says she is the Customer Service Manager). BTW, Chase/WAMU denied my claim saying that "I did not have sufficient evidence against Brakeplanet". So with being out $84.48 from Brakeplanet and then get overdrafted by WAMU/Chase...I'm out $129.65.

SAme for me never got the parts. Did finally recieve the brake pads but no rotors. They said they needed to be made at least 3 times to me. It's been over 3 months now and i still don't have a refund for my rotors? This is a sad state of affairs when someone is so openly trying to rip people off. Only in america in guess.

I guess I must have lucked out cause I ordered pads & rotors for my 06 Ram and received them in about 3 days with no issues. From what I've read here I'm glad there wasn't a mistake in my order, but I received a great price, timely service and got exactly what I ordered.

I have been trying for awhile to get a refund for an order I received which had the wrong pads in it. This order was received in Feb still no RMA or refund. I also ordered front rotors for my 2004 F159 and have not received them or a refund, I call at lease once a week and all I get is we will look into this matter and never hear back from them. I have emailed them at the info@ email address and have not received a reply. They have lost what little business I gave them. I would rather pay higher prices and get waht I order ed right away than deal with them.

Ordered rotors for my 99 Ford F250. Received them-no problem. Only they were not the correct rotors. Called and ordered the correct rotors and paid for them. Charged my Visa that day. Emailed me instructions on returning the wrong rotors. Returned them within two days, verified by UPS tracking #. It has been 5 weeks and cannot get a refund. My wife or I phone at least once a day. Same run around. Am going to report them to my bank's fraud department and see what they can do. DO NOT do business with this company!!!!!

BrakePlanet.com is a sham. They sell you something they don't have take your money, don't communicate for crap, and stall and stall and stall. Don't buy from them.
